SIDMAS Membrane is the only Saudi company specialized in the production of
membrane elements for water desalination by Reverse Osmosis, Nanofiltration,
Ultrafiltration and Microfiltration. SIDMAS is also producer of full desalination plants of
all capacities for both brackish water and sea water according to the most modern
specifications and for a wide range of capacities.
The membrane elements of SIDMAS are based upon a tough and highly performant
polyamide thin film composite membrane which is characterized by its high salt
rejection and greater relative productivity. These elements belong to the spiral wound
configuration requiring lower needs of pretreatment in comparison with other RO
membrane configurations in addition to ease of operation and maintenance and the
specific validity for application in hot countries since they withstand operational
temperatures up to 50°C.
Since 1992, SIDMAS membranes have been produced in Riyadh according to
agreements of technology exchange with some internationally known specialized
companies. These membranes are currently successfully used in the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia in several private and governmental plants for desalination of underground
water, sea water, or industrial and municipal sewage water (Please refer to the Partial
Reference List). SIDMAS membranes are also used in several GCC and Middle East
Countries.
The present production of SIDMAS and the near future plans cover all the ranges of
desalination of brackish and sea water, sewage water and industrial waste water by
Reverse Osmosis, in addition to Nanofiltration and Ultrafiltration.
SIDMAS is ISO 9002 certified and an approved supplier to Saudi Aramco. SIDMAS is a
member of the International Desalination Association (IDA). Our commitment to the
future of the region is exemplified by our local investment in the most up to date
international membrane separation process and desalination technologies in addition
to customer service backed by a policy of continuous product improvement.
